ASUS Xonar Essence STX
Of course, everyone can try to find the operational amplifiers by preference, fortunately the manufacturer has provided for it, but what prevented him from taking it slow, achieving not only the signal/noise ratio of 124 dB, but maximum sound quality as well? After all, there are a lot of theories of transimpedance amplifiers, operational amplifiers suitable for this are specified by their producers … And how come the out-of-the-way situation with the level of noise at a frequency of 44.1 kHz, hanging over from the Xonar D2, has not been corrected down-the-line yet? Audiophilia supposes a search for perfect match, and you shouldn’t have got involved into it unless you can come close to this ideal. Or you should have?  Download ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound driver.
Finally, the card can be used for high-quality recording, thank the stars everything is all right with ASIO support. Besides, the goodies include two outputs with different connectors and substantially different character of sound, the latest PCI Express bus. In general, I can’t think of direct rivals of the card in terms of functionality and sound quality.
And yet, what a pity that the Xonar Essence STX very little but didn’t hit the tops …
